Let's Talk Turkey

We saw more of Istanbul then we meant to since we went the wrong way and got stuck outside the old city walls.  But other then my poor blistered feet, it was all interesting.  The city is well cared for with little flowers planted here and there and city workers cleaning up trash.  Most of the roads in this older part of town are cobble stone and some are extremely steep.  I imagine I will be very sore tomorrow!  We ended up coming back to the apartment and taking naps in the afternoon, then went to the local market for some items for dinner.  We have tomorrow mapped out a little better, so hopefully can get in all the things we planned on seeing.  The call to prayer is lovely to hear coming from multiple mosques out over their speakers.
